Javier Robalino was born in Staten Island, New York. He founded Huracan FC on August 1, 2016 in the Tampa Bay area. Holds USSF B coaching License since 2000, has attened internacional coaching courses and internship in Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, and Spain. At the present, march 2024 has return to school to obtain a BA in soccer coaching and lincense C, B , A and national Pro with The Institute of coaching of Ecuador's National Soccer Federation

 

Robalino, 55, served as an assistant coach for the NY/NJ MetroStars (now NY Red Bulls) in MLS from 1999 to 2002. During this time, the MetroStars were the first team in MLS history to develop a reserve team and academy. He served as the reserve team head coach and academy coach. He later became the first team equipment manager and in 2002 became the first team tryouts director. During his years with the NY/NJ MetroStars he worked side by side with Head Coach Octavio Zambrano and Juan Carlos Osorio.

 

Robalino, as the reserve team head coach, promoted 10 players to the first team.

In 2000 he scouted Rodrigo Farias who went on to play for the reserve team. In 2001, Rodrigo was promoted to the first team and finished the season as MLS rookie of the year.

In 2001 The MetroStars finished second in the MLS Eastern Conference.

 Robalino is well known in the Tampa Bay area as one of the few coaches that has worked in MLS. He has coached for several youth clubs in the area. He has also developed one of the most successful adult amateur clubs in Clearwater, FL: The Clearwater International FC “Galactics”, which he coached from 2006 to 2010.

2023 served as assistant coach with Pro second division team "Jonathan Arroyo" in Latacunga, Ecuador.

March, 2024 signed to coach Deportivo Guano, Pro 2nd Division, Guano, Ecuador.
